How did you get started freeze Drying?
At Freeze Dried FX, our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to preserve food for as long as possible without losing its nutritional value. Unlike dehydration, which can drain up to 80% of nutrients, our freeze drying process retains nearly all the goodness of fresh food. This mission was inspired by our desire to provide our community with healthier, long-lasting food options.
Originally, we intended for this to be our first family business. However, Fiona’s heartfelt plea led us to start her Certified Organic Microgreen farm first.
Now, with the same passion and commitment, we bring you Freeze Dried FX.
Our vision is to offer a wide variety of freeze-dried goods, from local veggies and fruits to candy and trail mixes. We are dedicated to being as allergy-friendly as possible, ensuring everyone can enjoy our products. In the long term, we aspire to open several shops throughout Pennsylvania and expand our candy range…

As a local family business, we pride ourselves on being as eco-friendly as possible. We’re on a mission to be completely plastic-free by 2025, incorporating biodegradable options and even using gloves made from food waste. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do.
We source our ingredients directly from manufacturers and local farmers, ensuring the highest quality and supporting our local economy. We’re present at four farmers markets and many local events, where we love seeing the delight on people’s faces when they try our freeze-dried goodies for the first time.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about our goal of going 100% plastic-free and the prospect of offering candy made from scratch. At Freeze Dried FX, we’re not just about preserving food—we’re about creating unforgettable experiences with every bite.
